Snohomish Engagement Session

Engagement

This Snohomish Engagement Session was quite the surprise because as it turns out Shelle and Jim scheduled their engagement session with me, and then got married just a few days before! So we ended up celebrating their newly married selves in a beautiful engagement session again at Maroni Meadows. You can check out another family session I did here over on my blog.

The truth is I have known Shelle for a long time. We actually worked together when we were both working in the mortgage industry back in the late 2000’s and we’ve stayed connected ever since. So when she met Jim I was so excited for her to reach out to do an engagement session with me in Snohomish!

As always when I travel over to Snohomish I’m worried about the Washington weather. As most of you from the Pacific Northwest know it could be calling for 90% rain a week before and then update to sunny skies no clouds the day before. So you just kind of have to wait it out. The nice thing though about doing sessions at Maroni Meadows is that there are plenty of trees and other covers to pose my clients underneath that still look equally as beautiful as being in a wide open field. Which they also offer! Have I mentioned before how much I love this place? Ha ha if you’ve been reading my blog then you know I have!

This day thankfully had called for 50% rain which is a toss up and could really go either way. We were lucky enough to just get a few sprinkles and didn’t really need to hide underneath anything. I had three sessions out here on this day and it managed to do those light sprinkles in between each session but not during which was perfect!

If you’re in the Snohomish area and need a portrait session done whether it be family, engagement, maternity, senior, pets, etc then chances are if you book a session with me we’ll be at Maroni Meadows! I am based in Ocean Shores, Washington but I travel to Snohomish fairly often since I have family over there. I also photograph quite a few weddings in the area so you can bet I’ll be there at least a few times a year. And when I’m there I love to schedule portrait sessions! Usually I have past clients book another shoot with me but on this weekend I got to photograph Shelle and Jim for the first time, photograph a family for a second time, and then meet a new family which I always love!

Take a look at these images from Shelle and Jim’s Snohomish Engagement Session and let me know if you agree how beautiful this location is!

Meet Amelia

Olympia boudoir photographer

Imagine, you walk into my studio (located in Aberdeen, Wa) completely freaked out.  I mean, even though we've been talking and I've been preparing you this isn't something you've ever done before!
So you sit down in my stylist's chair as she starts to go over hair and makeup looks with you.  As she begins you start to feel at ease.  We decide which outfit you're going to start with and start posing!  The music is playing and soon the camera falls away, you're just feeling it!  I show you a few shots on the back of my camera and you're floored!  That's me?!  But you say it in a way as if that confidence has always been there, we just needed to pull it out of you.
That is why I do what I do!  To watch you transform from unsure into the powerful, amazing, confident woman that you are!  You just needed a little boost.  And I'm here to give that to you.

Why did i fall in love with boudoir?
