Water engagement photos in Elma, Wa

Water engagement photos are definitely something different. If you live and love in the Pacific Northwest then you want your engagement photos to reflect the beautiful area that you live in. This session between Bailey and Austin did just that!

Bailey and Austin were high school sweethearts. They both recently graduated from Central Washington University and Austin popped the question on a family trip to Hawaii! How romantic! That’s actually how I thought my husband was going to propose but completely surprised me instead by getting down on one knee on the University of Washington campus making me an honorary husky. Growing up my entire family were WSU fans. I even have an Uncle who is the voice of the Cougars. So my husband had to do something to officially get me over to the other side ha! I mean how can you not become a fan of the school where you were proposed to?

I met Bailey and Austin in Elma and we drove over to what I like to call my new favorite little spot for photos. I’ve done boudoir photos here, family photos, and now an engagement session! It’s so beautiful and easy to get to but somewhat difficult to find so perfect for me!

I absolutely love being a photographer who works with natural light. Playing with the light and posing you so you get the best light possible for your water engagement session is so much fun! I always want to see how adventurous a couple will get with me on their photo shoot as well and Bailey and Austin were up for whatever! So I had them balancing on a log and dancing together, exploring through the water, and eventually sitting in it together!

These water engagement photos were so much fun as these two wanted to incorporate beautiful elements of the Pacific Northwest. And with us being surrounded by water, what better way to do that?

My goal in your engagement photos is to get to know you as a couple so that through your images I can tell the story of the beginning of your lives together. Then continue to tell that story at your wedding!

Meet Amelia

Olympia boudoir photographer

Imagine, you walk into my studio (located in Aberdeen, Wa) completely freaked out.  I mean, even though we've been talking and I've been preparing you this isn't something you've ever done before!
So you sit down in my stylist's chair as she starts to go over hair and makeup looks with you.  As she begins you start to feel at ease.  We decide which outfit you're going to start with and start posing!  The music is playing and soon the camera falls away, you're just feeling it!  I show you a few shots on the back of my camera and you're floored!  That's me?!  But you say it in a way as if that confidence has always been there, we just needed to pull it out of you.
That is why I do what I do!  To watch you transform from unsure into the powerful, amazing, confident woman that you are!  You just needed a little boost.  And I'm here to give that to you.

Why did i fall in love with boudoir?
